St Anthony's Glenhuntly Netball Club supports and follows the Child Safety Guidelines as outlined in the Netball Victoria Guidelines.
In line with Netball Victoria, St Anthony’s Glen Huntly Netball Club agrees to and abides by the ‘Child Safety Standards’. These are important and integral to running a club that is safe, inclusive and welcoming for all people, particularly in the case of those under 18.
The club appoints someone to take on this responsibility to deal with any issues and who represents the club if anything is to happen. As of now, I will be the Child Safety Officer and any questions/ issues/ concerns must be emailed directly to the following email address: childsafety@stanthonysnetball.org.au
Could all team managers please pass on this email address to the parents, players and coaches of your teams.
Anyone has the ability to report but generally concerns would be bought up to a team manager or the team's coach, which would then be passed on to the child safety officer.
Something important to note: Those coaches who are under 18, have a responsibility to report on child safety when they are in a position of coaching (at training, games or if directly contacted by a player) but are also protected under the policy as they are under 18 and a part of the club.
A date will be confirmed for committee members, team managers and coaches where we will go through some important guidelines/ expectations/ producers. If you have any questions please email me. Ella
Additionally, as foundation members of Play By The Rules we share the following publication regarding Child Safe Practices Dos & Don'ts - https://issuu.com/playbytherules/docs/play_by_the_rules_magazine_issue_42/24
If you have any issues or concerns regarding unsafe behaviours please contact our Child Safety Officer, Ella Jorgensen - childsafety@stanthonysnetball.org.au
