CDNA Autumn Update
Below is a round-up of the information provided at the Autumn 2025 Delegates Meeting
Kathryn Edwards is the new netball operations manager - competitions@cdna.net.au Please Note - all communication with CDNA
MUST be through the St Anthony's Committee,

- They will not respond to individual team enquiries and no verbal requests - all requests in writing per the above.
- Autumn 2025 consists of 13 clubs, 1 independent (191 teams)
- CDNA are running NSG on Friday evenings - 80 available spots in NSG (all 3 N/S/G)

Training Courts - In term 2 Thursday nights the training courts will be taken back by CDNA. Heavily booked Tues/Wednesday
evenings

Devices per Court - TM don’t have to allocate a scorer - Will still need scorers - Devices will be handed out with Umpires &
return post match (check/confirm score at half/full time) - Devices come in waterproof case - First few weeks will have manual score
sheets as back up - (Can lock out other users from scoring etc. using a check box when needed)
- Season invoices have already been sent to clubs

By-laws will be updated 5/2 - Some policies will be changed in coming months, if anything major changes will be sent to
clubs

Rules around Borrowed players changed (instead of 3rd game, it will now be the 5th game when the borrowed player will
be moved into higher age/division) - Players can still be signed up in multiple teams as per usual -

Netball Victoria - single game vouchers will still need to be through the club’s individual
link (normal registration but elect Single Game).

Uniforms - Please update club’s uniform colours (done for St Anthony's, navy dress or short/singlet. Black is the
colour nominated for optional leggings, skivvies for cold weather) - New/old club dresses & club shorts & tops still OK for the
first few weeks but advise CDNA if there are issues e.g. late delivery of stock etc.
Not allowed: - bike shorts on their own - hard peaked caps - TAPED NAILS OR GLOVES - jewellery

First Aid - still using Red Medical - the First Aider is not available for player strapping - First Aid not
available during training periods, clubs advised to use their own first aid kits - Friday nights First Aider starts 5pm

Generally mainly on Friday nights, please ensure siblings/non-players are supervised and not engaging in dangerous
behaviour (running on steps, in change rooms, etc,)

Change Rooms - Open from 4pm daily (ideally) - (some issue with doors, check signage, press green button to get out)
- Friday night, non players causing damage/untidy, please avoid eating & drinking in Change Rooms

Lost Property will be retained for one term only. If anything is lost & realise after Monday, send email to Kathryn
(via club committee, per above)

Child Safety - all clubs need child safety officer (Penny ex CDNA in charge @ NV)
- Any Child Safety concerns, Saturdays - Chris, Friday nights Kathryn or Chris

Team Managers & Coaches should try to keep their WWC on them when at the courts, digital copies are available via Services Victoria
and can be added to phone wallet

Grading - During the initial 4 grading rounds there will be people in yellow hi-vis observing matches and may ask about any
manipulation (e.g. full team? or missing players? playing in position? etc.)
- Div 15-5 is playing at the same time as 18s
- Fixtures will be released one round at a time in the first 4 weeks
- Advise CDNA (via our committee) if it is extremely obvious your team is in the wrong grade from the outset.
- Umpiring - there are 14 new umpires this season in development (85 active umpires registered)

Red Coats (Court Supervisors) - there are new red boxes painted on the courts for better visibility of the Red Coats. The
purpose of the Red Coats is to support the umpires. Issues must be raised during games, not afterwards. Red Coats will observe games
upon request, they will take any feedback, return to who brought to attention with an update with what they’ve actioned. Green Coats are
umpire mentors and will not assist with game/player issues.

Behaviour - Code of Conduct for players, team officials and parents/spectators are on CDNA website (and ours). If no
specific rule under CDNA, it then falls under Netball Victoria, then Netball Australia.

Concerns - any issues need to be brought up straight away, not at end of the game (brought to red coat/court supervisor or
competition supervisor (in control box) - If incidents are not adequately resolved, bring to Chris, Kathryn or Bec. Any issue that cannot
be resolved on the day can be lodged via the Grievance Procedure (on CDNA website) in writing. This must be lodged within 3 working days
(i.e. no later than the following Wednesday).

Where to Stand - Choose one side of transverse, please be mindful to keep to your area - Coaches are not to walk down
the court, keep to their third. Nobody should enter the coaches line along the side of the court.
