Round 1 = Pride Round
Reminder that Round 1 of Spring 2024 is Pride Round. Pride Round is to promote inclusivity and raise awareness at CDNA for LGBQTI+ people and to subsequently help increase participation. Population statistics show that up to 15% of the population identify as LGBQTI+, but around 50% of those people are not always confident sharing this with their sporting peers because they worry that it will change how they are treated. This means up to a possible 340 people within the CDNA Community. We want to make sure we create, foster and remain a positive, inclusive and diverse community where everybody feels welcome. We will be celebrating the day with decorations and rainbow goal posts, and many other things, including yummy finger buns! We are encouraging clubs and members to wear a splash of rainbow on both days, be it hair
ribbons, socks, bibs, sweatbands etc. We look forward to seeing you all at Pride Round
Friday 26/07 or Saturday 28/07

Development Coach Accreditation Course
DEVELOPMENT COACH ACCREDITATION COURSE
We still have a few spots left in the Development Coach Accreditation course that we as an Association are offering to pay for your coaches
to do on Sunday 7th February. If you have any coaches who have done their Foundation Course online (a
pre-requisite) and would like to go to the next level of accreditation, please let me know their names asap and we can add them to the
list.
The idea to run this Round Robin was formed when thinking about how long both players and umpires had gone without being on court due to
the lockdown last year. We wanted to celebrate being able to be out there again as an Association and thought that it might be a good
opportunity to combine a celebration with a non-competitive and therefore hopefully non-stressful environment for both players and umpires
to find their feet again and not worry about winning etc. It would also be a great opportunity for coaches to find their groove again too,
plus a great time for us to iron out any new COVID safety procedures that we will need to adopt for our regular competition.
