Hi everyone,
We just wanted to remind you all about the date you would have all seen on your Association calendars, Saturday 8th May and our very first Pink Round!
For the first time, CDNA are dedicating a particular round to raising money for the very important issue of Breast Cancer research. 55 people are diagnosed every day with breast cancer, both men and women, so we feel it’s a huge importance and honour to raise both awareness and money for the Breast Cancer Network Australia, and help however we can.
On Saturday 8th May, we would love to see our courts awash with splashes of pink from everybody, whether it be pink bibs, pink socks, pink sweatbands, pink shoelaces or pink hair ribbons! The staff will be wearing special uniforms for the day and we will be playing with special pink match balls, decorating around the courts and will also have quite a few ways for everyone to help us to raise money:
The Breast Cancer Network Australia has also set us up a special website where people can choose to donate money too. Please visit it at:
BCNA Pink Sports Day - Caulfield & District Netball Association
There will also be activities for kids as well, like colouring in pages and also some useful resources to hand out about this disease and also this great cause if anybody is interested as well.
Any money we can raise will go directly to the fantastic Breast Cancer Network Australia and we hope to continue this tradition for many years to come too. We will be putting a notification out on social media soon, information on our website, the local media have expressed interest in coming along and although we know you will all pass this information onto your own members, we will also let everyone know through a special MyNetball email as well.
We look forward to everyone banding together to make sure this day is a success for a very important cause.
Kind regards,
Penny Forrest
Netball Operations Manager
